Speeding in MAHWAH
The township of
Mahwah has been named New Jersey’s "worst speed trap" by the
National Motorists Association driving-rights group. The
patrol officers earned this title by the motoring public due
to their enforcement of speeding violations in school zones
and residential areas. They are around a bend on Route 17 and
waiting near the New York state line on Interstate 287.

Alcoholic drinks at College
The alcoholic energy
drink 4 Loko is a drink with quite the reputation, sometimes referred
to as liquid cocaine. Police in Northern New Jersey say that the
beverage is causing problems on college campuses and they're worried
high school students may be doing the same thing. Mahwah police who
responded to alcohol related calls at Ramapo College campus say that
those who had been overindulging would sometimes fall unconscious and
require hospitalization. See Police Chief Batelli's interview below by
clicking on picture:
Since this interview Ramapo
College has banned 4 Loko from college campus and enforced stricter rules on the
consumption of alcoholic beverages on campus.

Homicide Suspect Arrest
During a
"routine" traffic stop brother Grassi began conversing with
the driver and passenger. Brother Grassi felt that both parties were
lying and became more persistent eventually discovering the true
identity of the passenger in the vehicle. A computer check revealed
Anwar Belton was the main suspect of an
ongoing manhunt in reference to a homicide that took place in

but it goes to show you that anything is possible.
